European cities are more aware of urban construction logistics
More European cities see construction logistics as part of urban freight policies, but also a lot of European cities do not have any initiatives yet. However, the awareness to deal with urban construction logistics is growing. These are the conclusions of the latest SUCCESS-report on the experience and maturity of 12 European cities in construction logistics.
Good practices in urban construction logistics
The SUCCESS project presented a new report demonstrating the potential of the solutions developed by SUCCESS to be replicated and transferred afterwards. It consolidates 22 good practices observed mainly in European countries and USA to improve knowledge and understanding of the construction supply chain and logistics.
EU best practices in construction consolidation centers
The European project SUCCESS – Sustainable Urban Consolidation CentrES for conStruction – delivered a report on business models for construction consolidation centers. This report is very useful to organise suitable Business Models for the implementation of logistics hubs for city logistics by the construction industry.
