Industry is collaborating on a new programme designed to minimise the impact of the increasing amount of construction in London and to ultimately improve safety and air quality. The Construction Logistics programme, delivered in association with Transport for London and the Chartered Institute for Logistics and Transport, sees a broad range of industry involvement and looks to raise awareness across the entire sector of Construction Logistics Plans (CLPs).
CLPs focus specifically on construction supply chains and how to reduce impact on the road network through a series of ‘planned measures’ – specific techniques designed to reduce environmental impact, road risk and congestion. It provides tool for planners, developers and contractors.
