CodeZERO is a transformative three-year initiative to create sustainable, zero-emission, last-mile delivery and return e-commerce solutions. The mission is to make these solutions attractive and viable for retailers, logistics service providers, and consumers.
However, this poses a significant challenge for retailers and logistics providers striving to meet these demands while minimizing environmental impact. To create a more sustainable e-commerce ecosystem, the disconnection between consumer expectations and the realities of delivery logistics needs to be addressed. CodeZERO is innovating, testing, and sharing solutions to influence consumer behavior to choose more sustainable delivery options in four pilot sites: Antwerp, Milan, Oslo, and Utrecht.
CodeZERO is a project under the CIVITAS Initiative, funded by the HorizonEurope program, pioneering sustainable e-commerce deliveries.
