Dutch entrepreneurs Beelen and van der Wallen invest € 160 million in a logistics center in the Port of Amsterdam. Via a new distribution location on the North Sea Canal, they want to support environmentally-friendly delivery of packages, building materials, and catering supplies over the waterways.
UK: 15 percent of click-and-collect orders are left orphaned

UK shoppers have left £228 mln worth of uncollected products at click-and-collect sites in the last year due to long queues and understaffed collection points. Research by Barclaycard found that more than 70 percent of UK consumers shop via a click and collect system, whereby they order products online and collect them at a local branch or collection site.
Uber talks with European supermarkets about grocery delivery

Uber Technologies said it’s in discussions with European supermarkets to roll out a grocery delivery service. Uber has spoken with the UK’s second-biggest grocer J Sainsbury. The supermarket operator earlier announced it was partnering with Deliveroo to bring hot pizza to homes in four British cities.
