Thuisbezorgd.nl partners with Albert Heijn for grocery delivery. Albert Heijn and Thuisbezorgd.nl, part of Just Eat Takeaway.com, one of the world’s largest online food delivery marketplaces, will expand their collaboration and start with home delivery of groceries and convenience products in the Netherlands.
The product range consists of more than 1,200 products, including an extensive choice of fruits, vegetables, and organic products. The service ensures more freedom for consumers so that they can be more spontaneous about the meals they cook and when. Daily, fresh and healthy products. Delivered immediately.
The groceries are collected in Albert Heijn stores and delivered to customers’ homes by a Thuisbezorgd.nl courier. Groceries from two Albert Heijn stores in Amsterdam will be available from next week on the platform of Thuisbezorgd.nl and after a successful launch, more stores will follow.
Gijs Weterings, Country Director of Thuisbezorgd.nl: “As the largest meal delivery company in the Netherlands, we strive to offer our customers more choice, convenience, and the best service. Albert Heijn is a popular brand that we have enjoyed working with for years. We currently offer various products from AH to Go on Thuisbezorgd.nl and we are looking forward to delivering the favorite groceries of Albert Heijn customers to their homes within 30 minutes. Our fast delivery drivers are employed and paid by the hour, so their income does not depend on the number of orders they deliver at short notice, allowing them to deliver in a safe and responsible manner”.
Marit van Egmond, CEO Albert Heijn: “We want to make fresh and healthy products, such as fresh packaged meals and soups, available to everyone at all times. We already do this through our stores and delivery service via ah.nl. Together with Thuisbezorgd.nl, we are expanding the delivery options so that we can also deliver groceries to your home within thirty minutes.”
In recent months, Just Eat Takeaway.com, which operates in 23 countries, has accelerated its growth in the fast-growing grocery and convenience delivery segment by signing strategic partnerships with retailers such as 7-Eleven, Asda, One-Stop, Casino Group, Coop, Shell, food.de, Grovy and Wuplo. In Canada, the company is also deploying Skip Express Lane, a dark store model.
