Dutch Sligro Food Group (food service) started the operational test of this unique vehicle that has been specially developed for sustainable and efficient urban distribution. The design is not based on an existing electric van or truck, but rather the other way around. Based on a vision for the future of urban distribution and functional requirements, a completely new vehicle has been designed and built.
This is an all-electric ‘tractor’ with one or two wagons behind it with cargo areas that are also suitable for refrigerated and frozen products. The first practical tests will be carried out in Den Bosch (NL) and Ghent (B). The manufacturer is Trens Solar Trains.
