Shipment Zero is Amazon’s vision to make all Amazon shipments net zero carbon, with 50% of all shipments net zero by 2030. Dave Clark, Amazon’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Operations & Customer Service blogs about it on the Amazon blog.

Shipment Zero
Amazon has a long-term goal to power its global infrastructure using 100% renewable energy. With improvements in electric vehicles, aviation biofuels, reusable packaging, and renewable energy. For the first time, Amazone now sees a path to net zero carbon delivery of shipments to customers, and they are setting an ambitious goal for themselves to reach 50% of all Amazon shipments with net zero carbon by 2030. Amazon is calling this project ‘Shipment Zero’.
Monitoring
To track the progress on this journey and as part of an overall commitment to sharing Amazon’s sustainability goals, Amazons plans to share its company-wide carbon footprint, along with related goals and programs, later this year. This follows an extensive project over the past two years to develop an advanced scientific model to carefully map Amazon’s carbon footprint to provide the business teams with detailed information helping them identify ways to reduce carbon use in their businesses.
